Dear Sacred Heart and St. Mary on the Lake,
We will be having our annual staff retreat Tuesday July 19 th . The vocation director for
the Diocese of Lansing, Fr. John Whitlock, will be leading us this year. Please pray for us that we would receive more of the Holy Spirit and be better equipped to serve. Both parish offices will be closed that day.
Last week I mentioned some great resources for entering into the Scriptures. This week I want to mention a few excellent podcasts about living our Catholic life. Many of us spend a lot of time driving - to work, running kids between activities, in the tractor out in the fields, etc. Podcasts are a great way to use that time to help us grow.

I appreciate these short podcasts that speak to real issues and questions about faith, pop culture, and headlines we see. He has produced many of these podcasts so it could work well to scroll through and select the ones that particularly jump out to you.
A Year with Sister Faustina (Amy Thomas) “Travel with me, Catholic Pilgrims, for one year as we read through St. Faustina’s Diary. Every day, I will do a short reading from the diary that brought us a deeper understanding of Christ’s Divine Mercy. Afterwards, I’ll give a short reflection on what we’ve read. I look forward to meeting you here every day on this podcast for one year to learn more about the mercy of Christ.”

format to Bible in a year. Amy has since finished the year with St. Faustina and has started one with Bishop Sheen if that is an interest).
