Dear Sacred Heart and St. Mary on the Lake, I want to mention a few upcoming events.

Mass of Anointing:

You are invited to join us for a special Mass, Anointing of the Sick, and Luncheon this Thursday, May 11th at 10:30 am at St. Mary on the Lake. During the liturgy, all who wish to receive the Sacrament of the Sick will have the opportunity to be anointed. Anointing is for anyone experiencing physical, emotional or spiritual distress. After Mass we will continue with a luncheon in the parish hall. If you plan on attending the lunch, please RSVP by Sunday, May 7th by signing up in the entrances to the Churches, or by contacting Suzzanne Sinkovitz (517-547-7496). Adoration will be from 9:30 am-10:30 am, and Divine Mercy Chaplet at 10:00 am followed by the Rosary. During that time of Adoration, Fr. Todd will hear confessions from 9:45 am-10:15 am.

Widows and Widowers Luncheon:

You are invited to this special event on Thursday, May 18th at St. Mary on the Lake Parish Hall at Noon. This is just for you and the many other women and men in our parishes who have “flown solo” since losing a spouse, whether recently or years ago. For this day, you will be served and encouraged. So, come, fellowship with one another around a great meal, absolutely free to you! And, if you have friend or family member who has lost a spouse, or if you have a care-giver, we would love to have them join us! Please RSVP by Sunday, May 14th by signing up on the sheets in the entrances to the Churches, or by contacting Suzzanne Sinkovitz (517-547-7496).

Last but not least in our run up (pun intended!) is Sacred Heart School’s annual 5k—always a really fun event. Hope to see you there!

God Bless,

Fr. Todd

Please pray for the 15 second graders who will be making their First Holy Communion this Sunday, May 7 at Sacred Heart at the 11:00 am Mass. May their belief in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist inspire those of us who have forgotten just how special it is to become one with Christ and to allow Him to become one of us.

Piper Arnold, Ysabella Barnett, Trenton Beach, Edward Coleman, Yaritza Diaz, Gael Godinez, Carter Kimling, Jessa Kimling, Declan Mansfield, Dominic Moreno, Trinity Price, Jennifer Reko, Claire Sanborn, Elaina Schulte, and Piper Strong. Logan Tedora will be participating with his class, but received his First Communion last weekend at St. Mary on the Lake. We will have a picture in next weekend's bulletin.
