Mass of Remembrance 11/8/2018 6:00 pm

November marks a special time in the Church’s calendar to commemorate all our loved ones who have gone before us.

There will be a special Mass of Remembrance on Thursday, November 8th at 6:00 pm. Because of the loss of your loved one, we would like to extend an invitation to you and your family to participate in this memorial liturgy. A paper cross will be in the gathering space when you arrive. Please write your loved one’s name on the cross and we will hang it in the gathering space the month of November.

You are invited to bring a picture of your loved one to be displayed on a table near the altar. During this special Mass, we will have each of you come forward and say your loved one’s name. A member of each family will be invited to light a small candle from the large Pascal Candle, the symbol of the risen Christ, and place it before the altar. These candles will symbolize our loss, our love, our prayer, and our hope before the Lord.

We hope you will be able to join us. Even in the sadness of loss, we celebrate new life, inspired by the power of Jesus’ resurrection and His promise of nothing less than eternal life for those who believe. Please pass on this invitation to all your extended family so that as many as would like to join us that Thursday will be able to do so. Please be reassured that the parish continues to keep you in our prayers. There will be lite refreshments after the Mass, so please RSVP by signing up in the gathering space no later than Sunday, November 4th.
